The first week of school went pretty well =] I did drop REL 120 to SOC 281. I actually wanted to take SOC 281 but all the freshies filled it up -__-. But yesterday two people dropped the class, so I was in =]
Might I add: I’m freakin scared for Com Design! AHHHHH

It’s good to be back
My aunt just gave me money
My friend paid half of my trip when I slept over in Jesery (we went to mountain creek)
My other friend is planning on getting a bike for me (I joked with her that she should get me a bike…but I wasn’t being serious!)
Basically the whole month of August is my birthday since I will be back in Syracuse on the 23rd and my birthday is Aug 26. But hey I’m not complaining. Can’t wait to see what’s next =]

My cousins (Gianni and Lili) and I at the Blink-182 concert (well…the Honda Civic Tour).
the amazing presentation (show) of the end of the program. Today was the last day of the summer program and every summer each group has to do something for the late night show. My student (girls entering 8th grade (2 are entering 9th)) did an “I am..” poem in the beginning. You would only hear their voices, no one is seen during this part. The dancers are behind the curtains waiting for the poets to finish. As soon as the girls said “We are unwritten,” the curtains open, the song Unwritten by Natasha Bedingfield (shorter verison, I cut some parts out) starts to play. And what do you begin to see, my girls preparing to dance to blow the audience away.
The dancers did AMAZING! I was so proud of them. I believe everyone love the ending. Reason: Towards the ending, the girls had to pick up their props and a poster board that had words from the poem (like funny or creative) and freeze at different points in the last 30 seconds of the song. All the girls did different poses depending on their words. Then the last person to get their poster and freeze was the person who had the word “Unwritten.” SHE WAS ON POINT when it was her turn. It was just amazing.
I’m so proud of them. Even though I was very upset with them this morning about the show and exam and everything that was going on…we ended the night well. congrats girls, and thank you for the beautiful cards (hahahahaha I act like they are going to read this). I’m just in a good mood because being a teacher does pay off….but it’s nice to finally be on break. =]
ME! =]
I just like the fact I got something to do than just sit around in my house or walking around the city wasting money (might I add…I’m broke now). I’m excited =]. It’s on Tuesday from 4pm-7pm. The show starts at 9pm. I hope everything goes well.
I went with my family + wendy (who actually stayed over my house) to Seaside. It was a great weekend. I’m just upset that I forgot to put on sunscreen and now my face and chest are red. My legs and arms are tan. I normally get red then tan if I don’t put on sunscreen.
Anywho, wendy enjoyed her day at Seaside….since she is a Jersey Shore fan. I remember when people never heard of the location. Now it’s been publicized. whatever, I had fun =]
Check out my final project. I think I came a long way. I’m glad I decided to minor in photo =]

Right now all the classes are reserved for freshmen -___-. I’m soo happy I’m taking Art Photo with Dybois (I heard amazing things about him and his work), Martinez for Design Methods, and Cooney for Into to Com Design (another great teacher, very well known in the city).

This is how my schedule currently looks like =]. Four day weekend!! I might change my religion class to another academic class over the summer. Right now all the classes are reserved for freshmen -___-. I’m soo happy I’m taking Art Photo with Dybois (I heard amazing things about him and his work), Martinez for Design Methods, and Cooney for Into to Com Design (another great teacher, very well known in the city).

I wish I was spending the day differently but I have a paper due tomorrow and a draft due at 5pm today. I just woke up 10 mins. ago, that draft is def not going to be sent before 5 pm. My paper is more important than that draft, so I will be working on my paper the WHOLE day.
Then I will be working on Photoshop for some of my photos for my photograph class. I really like how they came out =]
Once again…Happy Easter! (I wish I went to Church =[ )
that’s what happens when people don’t listen to me. I’m more upset at the fact she didn’t listen to me than losing MY camera. ughhhhh why am i up (sorta of) early.
Time Arts project: Soundscape of Union Square.
I knocked out last night without even knowing but I was able to finish my audio project. I had to sit in one location for an hour and write down what I heard. Then I had to incorporate the sounds by using other sounds that relate to it.
Here’s the list of what I used:
yellow cab=juicer
lady screaming=cow moaning
bird chirping= rats
lady screaming=cow moaning
hot dog stand, sizzling = bee
rain=typing
couple arguing= cat fight
coughing= burping
change/coins=rain drops
ipod=static
runner=horse
crowd of people= ducks quaking on lake
the winding blow the scarf = train station
rain= typing

When I was in 6th grade, I participated in the School Talent Show. Guess what I did….Girl Power by the Cheetah Girls. hahahahaha I was the Spanish girl (I forgot her name =/, I should google her). This song is a really good song; it had a good message and I never noticed that the group was very diverse. We just need an Asian up in there lol.
Edit: Her name is Adrienne Bailon. Just found out that she is half-Puerto Rican and half-Ecuadorian (I’m also half-Ecuadorian!)
